1. The most acclaimed color each year comes from the Pantone color specialists. For 2026 the Pantone selection was a warm white color called Cloud Dancer. It was described as a blank canvas, a fresh start, a renewal. This year’s selection of white has caused some uproar in the design community. Naysayers voice that white is technically considered the absence of color and therefore not really suited to be named a color of the year. But many find the warm white tone as grounding and modern.
